There are two recomended ways to use Cookiebot on a Shopify store. Which one applies to you depends on whether you already have a Cookiebot account and how your store was previously set up.
Option 1 — New account through the Shopify app (App-only)
If you are new to Cookiebot, this is the recommended path. The app walks you through creating an account and configuring your banner — everything stays inside Shopify. No separate Cookiebot dashboard is needed.
Option 2 — Link your existing Cookiebot account
Already have a Cookiebot account? You can connect it to the Shopify app in a few steps. The app uses your existing banner setup and domain group, so nothing needs to be recreated. Your current Cookiebot subscription covers the Shopify store — no extra Shopify charge is added.
