Do I get a free trial?
Yes. The Essential ($6/30 days) and Pro ($30/30 days) plans both include a 14-day free trial. You can explore all features of the plan before any charge is applied. The Free plan is available indefinitely with no trial period.
How do I upgrade my plan?
Go to the Cookiebot app in your Shopify admin, navigate to the Plan or Subscription section, and select the plan you want.
Can I downgrade my plan?
Yes, you can change plans in your Shopify app settings. Note, however, that the plan is not automatically adjusted if your traffic decreases — plan tiers only change when you manually select a different plan.
I'm being charged twice — once via Shopify and once directly
If you are seeing two separate charges, this is likely because you have both the Cookiebot for Shopify app and a separate Cookiebot or Usercentrics direct subscription (billed via credit card). These are independent subscriptions. If you only want to use the Shopify app, cancel your direct subscription at cookiebot.com or usercentrics.com. See Article 1 for guidance on migrating from a direct account.
How do I cancel the Shopify app subscription?
Uninstall the Cookiebot app from your Shopify admin. Shopify will automatically stop charging you. If you also want to cancel your direct Cookiebot or Usercentrics subscription, do this separately in your account settings.
The app is showing as 'Free' even though I purchased a paid plan
If you previously had a direct Cookiebot or Usercentrics account and have now installed the Shopify app, the app does not recognise your existing subscription. The Shopify app requires its own plan selected through the app's plan selection screen. Your existing direct subscription cannot be applied to the Shopify app.
